This magnificent centerpiece in the Louis XVI style dates from the fourth quarter of the 19th century, and is crafted from bleu turquin and rouge de mont joi marble, with ormolu bronze mounts including ram heads, reed-and-tie banding, rosettes and garlands. It measures an impressive 26" across and 16.25" tall (66 by 41.5 cm). Condition is good, with tarnishing to the gilded surfaces, and chip losses and scratches to the marble, all consistent with age. This pair of matching ormolu and patinated cast bronze candelabra of the early nineteenth century exhibit the highest level of craftsmanship and design from the late Georgian period. They have six candle arms, wonderfully ornate foliate decoration, plus lion figures on raised feet set upon a plinth. Patina is old and there is no sign of regilding or restoration of any kind. This antique cast bronze bell dates from 1814 and likely comes from a church. It reads "SOU EL NINO JESUS ANO DE 1814" which translates to "I AM THE BOY JESUS YEAR OF 1814". The entire piece measures 28" high, 23" wide and 10" deep. The bell alone measures 10" across and 8.25" tall at the top of the shoulder. There is no clapper. There are handwritten numeric markings which are likely from a prior owner, institution or auction house...
