Signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner. This work resides under glass in a frame measuring 18.5" by 15.75" by 0.75". This painting was professionally framed within the past five years and we have not removed it for inspection...
This extraordinary nineteenth century landscape watercolor or gouache on cardboard depicts the River Dee at Llangellen with the medieval Llangellen Bridge in the distance. The details are impressive and the overall condition is excellent. The painting is flat and there are no obvious signs of moisture damage. We have not inspected the painting outside its glazed frame.
