This tall figurine of Napoleon by Emile Coriolan Hyppolyte Guillemin (1841-1907) measures an impressive 38.5" tall, 10.5" wide and 10.2" deep. (Black marble pedestal shown is not included, but is available for purchase separately.) We have found no foundry mark, but have not inspected the underside of the bronze. It is signed " Guillemin " in the cast. Additional images forwarded upon request.

This wonderful nineteenth century bronze by Jean Gautherin (1840-1890) depicts Fortuna, the Roman Goddess of luck, fate and fortune. Signed with foundry mark depicting a standing hound. The work is mounted upon a white marble plinth and the overall measures are 40" by 16" by 14". Condition is good. It has an old, undisturbed patina, and scratches and small dents/dings that are all consistent with age.

This fine green patinated bronze sculpture by Salvatore Melani (French, 1902-1934) depicts a male hunter spearing a charging lion. Measures 37.5" wide, 8.75" deep and 18.5" high. Signed in the cast and set upon a black, grey and green variegated marble plinth. Weighs an estimated 40-60 lbs. Very good condition. There are some modest scrapes and wear to the patina, and the spear has some bends as well.

This extraodinary bronze sculpture, Gloria Victis, by Marius Jean Antonin Mercie (1845-1916), was cast by Barbedienne in the nineteenth century. Measuring 56" (142 cm), it is believed to be the second largest cast known to have been made by Barbedienne. This nineteenth century bronze figurine depicts the Greek mythological hero, Narcissus, after the original by the Italian sculptor, Vincenso Gemito (1852-1929) which was cast in the 1880s. It was cast by Barbedienne and measures 25" tall and 9.5" wide and deep. A Narcissus was a hero from the territory of Thespiae in Boeotia who was renowned for his beauty. This impressive Grand Tour bronze depicting the Greek mythological figures, Pygmalion and Galatea, measures 30.75" by 14" by 12". It is unsigned with no foundry mark, but numbered 55025 and 1 on the side of the base. It is believed to date from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. This fabulous bronze sculpture by Louis Marie Moris (1818-1883) depicts a young, deer-hunting nobleman from the era of Francis I (1494-1547), France's first renaissance king. It measures 20" wide, 23" high and 9" deep. Signed in the cast "Moris", and there is no foundry mark. Patina is a rust-brown.
