This Jugendstil earthenware vase by Reissner, Stellmacher & Kessel (R.S.K.), dates from circa 1900s-1905s, and is in excellent condition. This delightful and very rare glazed ceramic vent cover was designed by the noted Austrian ceramicist, Vally Wieselthier (1885-1945) for the Wiener Werkstatte. It measures 28.5" by 19.5" by 4.25" (72.4 by 49.5 by 10.8 cm), and was designed to fit openings measuring a minimum of 26.5" by 15.5" (67.3 by 39.4 cm). The outer surface is in good condition and shows a degree of crazing consistent with other Wieselthier pieces of the same period...
