This is a unique antique mirrored glass planter is likely of French or Venetian origin, and is believed to date from the 19th century. It features scalloped edges and hand-etched designs on each side depicting different birds in their natural settings. Measures 8.25" high by 6.5" wide and deep. Weighs approximately 4-6 lbs. Excellent condition. A layer of paint is flaking from the interior. No hallmarks have been found.
This unique glass vase with diamond quilt pattern and coraline decoration is believed to date from the turn of the century, and is likely by Thomass Webb and Sons. It features ribbons of cased yellow, white and pale pink glass with a subtle diamond pattern, and crushed blue coraline with the appearance of sea grass. Condition is very good. This fabulous pair of nineteenth century amethyst cut glass vases feature ormolu bronze mounts including Bacchus themed Greek masks, handles, a gagrooned rim, and pedestals with scalloped corners and laurel wreaths. They are likely of Russian or French origin. Each is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips or cracks in the glass, and the finish on the mounts appear original. A hallmark or owner's mark has been scratched off on the sides of the pedestals.
This pretty nineteenth century Bohemian compote ( comport ) of cased white and clear glass is decorated with painted fruit and flowers, with gold gilding along the edge. Base is weighted silver, likely silverplate as no hallmarks have been found. Measures 8.75" across and 7" high and weighs 2 lbs. 4 oz.
Included here is a matching pair of antique (nineteenth century) cut glass tazzas with engine-turned, dore bronze pedestals in the Russian empire style.
Each measures13.5" tall and 11.75" in diameter, and their condition is excellent. There are no visible losses to the glass and the gilded finish shows only very minimal wear. These items reside with our client in midtown Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen in person by appointment.
