This pair of antique Persian silver vases feature intricately engraved and/or chased floral decorations with damascening. Each measures 9.6" tall and 3.6" across, and both are in very good condition, with minor dents and scratches. There are no hallmarks and the silver alloy purity is unknown.
This pair of antique Meiji period bronze vases feature cold-painted flying cranes and Japanese flora designs in high relief. Condition is very good, with no deep scratches or dents. Each measures 11.7 in tall and 6.2 in across (29.7 cm and 15.9 cm).
This pair of vintage brass candlesticks are unsigned, and closely resemble the Alpha and Delta designs by Robert Jarvie. They have tulip forms on long stems with circular feet. This style of stem was found on the Alpha and Delta models, but the candle holders very closely resemble the Alpha model, while the base and lower portion of the stem resembles closely the Delta model. They retain their original lacquered surface and they would benefit from a gentle cleaning and polishing...

This fabulous sterling silver basket by Kerr & Co. dates from 1905 and measures an impressive 14.5" long, 6" high (12.5" with handle upright), and 9" deep. Its outer frame houses a basket which is dedicated with the years 1855 and 1905 and a three-letter monogram which has not deciphered. Condition is excellent, with no repairs, deep dents or significant scratches.

This pair of antique bronze chenets ( firedogs ) depict a horned male figure and female figure, and figural cherubs and other neoclassical ornamentation including lion masks with rings, holly wreaths and scrolling foliate legs. These andirons will compliment any classical decor such as English Regency ( Georgian ) or French Louis XIV or XVI. Each measures 38" tall, 17" wide and 11" deep (96.5 cm by 43.1 cm by 27.9 cm).
This lovely footed bowl or tazza in the French Louis XV style is crafted from rouge marble and features an ormolu gilt bronze stand. The stand has four organic scrolling legs joined by a stretcher with acorn finial and padded feet. It measures 15.25" across and 10.2" tall. There are no hallmarks and this piece certainly dates from the nineteenth century. It resides in our client's gallery in Larchmont Ny and may be seen in person by appointment. This magnificent centerpiece, crafted from silvered bronze with a frosted glass oval bowl, dates from the last quarter of the nineteenth century, and has been attributed to Christofle. It measures 7.75" tall, 17" wide and 10.5" deep (19.7 cm by 43.2 cm by 26.7 cm). It features griffin-like lion marks at each end and cartouches on each side and is raised on lion paw feet, in the manner of the French Empire Revival and English Regency Revival periods...

This pair of matching ormolu and patinated cast bronze candelabra of the early nineteenth century exhibit the highest level of craftsmanship and design from the late Georgian period. They have six candle arms, wonderfully ornate foliate decoration, plus lion figures on raised feet set upon a plinth. Patina is old and there is no sign of regilding or restoration of any kind. This pair of candelabra reside with our client in New York City and may be seen in person by appointment.
Included here is a pair of antique urns in the French Empire. They have a tapered vase shape with dark patination, are mounted on rouge griotte marble bases, and are fitted with angular handles rising from bearded lion masks. Each measures 12.7 cm (5") wide and deep at the base, and 54 cm (21.25") to the top where the finials screw down, and 57.2 cm (22.5") to the tops of the finials...

This antique bronze Albani vase measures 20" wide, 14" deep and 12.5" tall, and features casting of the highest quality. It has a warm brown patina and its condition and mounts suggest it dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. There are no foundry marks. Often confused with the Warwick vase, the Albani vase with Bacchus theme came from Villa Albani in Florence in the eighteenth century. The top has a gadrooned edge and intertwined vine handles above a circular fluted base...
Included here are two extraordinary silverplated vases dating from the nineteenth century, depicting Cupid and Psyche, the lovers from Roman mythology. Each measures 19.3" and 10" in diameter (49 by 25 cm) and each weighs an estimated 6-8 lbs. (2.7-3.6 kg). We have found no hallmarks, but cannot rule out the possibility they exist. One possible maker is WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), whose marks are extremely small and often difficult to spot...
This wonderful antique gilt bronze and marble inkwell depicts a chained mastiff guard dog sculpted by the French animalier, Charles H. Valton (1851-1918). It measures 11.75" by 16" by 10". Post sign reads "PRENEZ GAIDE AU CHIEN" which translates simply to "beware of dog". This item resides with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment.
