This is a lovely antique sconce made of hand-blown ruby red glass and etched mirrored glass. Believed to date from the mid to late 19th century. Rim of the candle holder features a pretty ruffled shape. Condition is excellent. Original silvering is intact. No visible cracks, chips or restorations. Some minor scratches to the mirror surface. Rear has its original hanging hook. Some corrosion to the mount but it's not noticeable behind the candle socket...
This pair of antique gilt bronze wall lights feature three candle arms and organic forms in the French Louis XV style. We may add sockets and wiring for an additional $100. Each measures 12" tall and 10" across (30 cm by 25 cm).
This pair of bronze sconces in the neoclassical style date from the nineteenth century, and feature Wedgwood blue and white Jasper ware medallions depicting cherubs. Each has modern sockets and wiring and is ready for installation. Their classical style will compliment a wide range of decors, including American Federal, English Regency ( George I, II and III ), and Victorian.
This unique and elegant matching pair of gilt metal sconces have their original scalloped hurricane-shaped glass and two electrified candles with candelabra-size sockets. Each measures 26" by 14" by 9" (66 by 35.6 by 22.9 cm). There are losses to the gilt finish, consistent with age. We have added new wiring and they are ready for installation.
This pair of sconces crafted from white opaline glass have been attributed to Baccarat, and feature gilded decoration, two electrified candles with crystal drip pans, and lovely bell-shaped pendants in ruby red glass. Each is wired and ready for installation. There is a restoration to a break across the front of the top of one sconce. Measures: 16 x 16 x 6 inches; 40.6 x 40.6 x 15.2 cm.
This pair of antique sconces are crafted from patinated metal and have their original enamelled finishes intact. They each accept candelabra-size bulbs and have new modern wiring. Believed to be of French or possibly Italian origin.
This pair of tole metal sconces feature red roses and three candle arms with candelabra-sized bulbs. Each has new wiring and is ready for installation. They each measure 22.5" tall, 13.7" wide and 9.25" deep (57.2 by 34.9 by 23.5 cm).
Included here is a matching set of four antique bronze sconces, each featuring two candle arms, gadrooned wall plate and crystal pendants with etched floral decoration. Measurements are approximate. Each has been newly wired with new sockets which accept candelabra size bulbs. There are no hallmarks and the maker is unknown. Their style is distinctly English Georgian, but will compliment any neoclassical decor such as French Louis XVI or Empire, or American Federal.

This pair of dore bronze sconces feature mirrored backs, three electrified candles, crystal beads and neoclassical ornamentation including anthemions, rosettes and s-shaped scrolls. They both have modern sockets and wiring and are ready for installation.
Included here is a pair of three-candle wall sconces in the English Regency style, crafted from silvered bronze and featuring shell motif at the top, acanthus scrolling leaf at the base, reticulated cross-hatch pattern in the center beneath a polished (mirror-like) shield. Each measures 18" tall and 9" across. Each has relatively new plastic candles but they lack sockets and wiring, which we will be glad to add for an additional cost.
This pair of antique red japanned sconces feature painted oriental figures, tole metal candle arms and asymetrical French rococo style shapes carved from wood. Each measures 25.5" H X 12" W X 7" D (64.8cm H X 30.5cm W X 17.8cm D). They reside with our client in Manhattan (New York City) and may be seen in person by appointment.
Included here is a pair of wooden, metal and crystal wall sconces in the Baltic style, each measuring 38" tall, 19" wide and 9" deep. They feature a dark stained wooden panel decorated with a tied ribbon motif in metal, five electrified and wired candle arms, and a variety of crystal pendants including stars and spheres. These fixtures likely come from the Baltic region and date from the 1920s to 1940s...
