This red japanned tallcase clock in the chinoiserie fashion dates from the mid to late eighteenth century, and has a movement attributed to the London clock maker, William Jackson. Movement resides behind glass and may be accessed from sides and rear, and the mechanism was not secured snugly against the front face of the cabinet at time of photography. Dial above the face carries the Latin phrase "Tempus Fugit" (time flies). Full condition report available upon request.

This wonderful French ormolu and patinated bronze clock dates from the Louis-Philippe period, circa 1840, and features a gothic cathedral on mountaintop, with mechanical train movement and music box. Original pendulum and replacement key are included, and the clock movement appears to be in good working order. The train movement also winds properly and works, but the belt slips and is in need of adjustment...

This wonderful clock is believed to date from the Empire period and features a gilt and patinated bronze figure with stag, its original hand-painted decorations, and cast bronze mounts including griffins, urns and plaques. Condition of the movement is unknown. This clock most recently came from an Italian auction house, but we have no further details on provenance.

Included in this Bacchanal themed garniture is a mantle clock and matching cassolettes made for and retailed by Tiffany and Company in the U.S. Each element is marked FRANCE and thus we estimate the set dates from as early at the 1890s or as late as the 1910s. The escapement is marked Tiffany & Co and the clock maker is unknown. Condition is excellent...

This French Empire mantle clock features a cherub on chariot pulled by two horses, plus frieze decorated with neoclassical scenes, and its original pendulum and undamaged porcelain clock face. Movement is working but we cannot verify its reliability or accuracy, and we have no key. Measures 48.9 by 46.4 by 14.6 cm (19.3" by 18.3" by 5.8").

This tremendous mantle clock in the French Louis XIV style dates from the nineteenth century, and features elaborate ormolu bronze decoration. The face is decorated with enamelled porcelain numbers, surmounted by a Greek mask. The original key and sunburst style pendulum are present. There is a small hole in the glass in the lower left corner. Male figures form the four legs and a female goddess on horseback decorates the lower center...

This lovely French Empire gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock features a gild winged cherub figure with drapery motif above the dial, and reclining neoclassical male figure at the base. The movement is working and the original pendulum is present. Maker is unknown. The escapement is marked " H.L.F. " for the maker, and "Bte S.G.D.G." for Breveté Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement" which simply translates to "Patented without any guarantee from the Government". It measures 20.5 in...

This lovely antique French clock garniture in the Louis XVI style is crafted from carved marble with dore bronze mounts, and blue and white porcelain plaques, possibly Jasperware by Wedgwood. The clock measures 17" tall, 11" wide and 3.5" deep, and the candelabras measure 19" tall. We have not found any maker's mark or other identifying marks on the escapement. There is no key and the working condition of the movement is unknown...

This exceptional 19th century clock made by the Waterbury Clock Company features a cold-painted cast bronze frame depicting cherubs and green foliage. Measures 15.5" high, 12.75" wide and 3.75" deep. Original pendulum and key, and in good working order.
