This unusually tall Sonambient sculpture measures 97" (8'2") tall, and features three rods and an L-shaped base. Designed by Harry Bertoia in the 1970s, and assembled posthumously by Val Bertoia at the Bertoia Studio in Bally, PA. The sculpture was purchased by our client directly from the Bertoia Studio, circa 2000.

Included here are two extraordinary antique (19th century) Italian carved busts depicting Roman emperors. Measures: 35 x 25 x 14 in (88.9 x 63.5 x 35.6 cm); 35 x 29 x 15 in (88.9 x 73.7 x 38.1 cm). Each exhibits the finest craftsmanship and details in high relief and their overall condition is excellent. We have found no signatures.

This oil on canvas by the French artist of Russian heritage, Pinchus Kremegne
(1890-1981), depicts a female wearing hat decorated with flowers. Stretcher measures 15 by 18.2 in (38.1 by 46.2 cm) and the frame measures 19.8 by 23 in (50.3 by 58.4 cm). This work dates from the second or third quarter of the twentieth century and resides in a period frame. Canvas was relined an estimated 20-30 years ago and is in good condition, with obvious craquelure and no visible losses...

This is a beautiful floral still life by the American painter, Andre Gisson (1928-2003). Stretcher measures 16 by 20 inches and the frame measures 19.5 by 23.6 inches. This exceptional painting on ivory of the Empress Josephine is signed CATULLE. It resides under glass in its original period frame which measures 5.8 by 7.6 in (14.7 by 19.3 cm) and the portion of the painting which is visible measures 3.1 in in diameter (7.9 cm).
This antique bronze bust of a lovely woman is signed Fortiny. There are no foundry marks and we know nothing about the artist. Measures 10.75" tall, 11" wide and 5" deep. Additional images forwarded upon request.
This pastel depicting Irma Brunner, Edouard Manet, was painted in the early to mid twentieth century and is signed Jacquet. This is an exceptional representation of Manet's work and is in excellent condition. It resides in a modern, antique style frame under glass. Frame measures 24 by 20 in (61 by 50.8 cm). This female portrait dates from the third or fourth quarter of the nineteenth century, and is likely of American origin. We have not found a signature. It resides in an old frame, but which is not likely original to the painting. Frame measures 37 by 31.5 in and the stretcher measures approximately 25 by 30 in. Condition is very good. There are no visible losses and some degree of craquelure, and the surface appears to have been varnished sometime in the recent past...
This fine green patinated bronze sculpture by Salvatore Melani (French, 1902-1934) depicts a male hunter spearing a charging lion. Measures 37.5" wide, 8.75" deep and 18.5" high. Signed in the cast and set upon a black, grey and green variegated marble plinth. Weighs an estimated 40-60 lbs. Very good condition. There are some modest scrapes and wear to the patina, and the spear has some bends as well.
