Canvas measures 19 1/8" by 25 1/4" and frame measures 24.75" by 30.75" by 3". Convas condition and nail heads suggest this painting dates from the early twentieth century. This item comes from the collection of Roni Steinberg Sokoloff and resided in her former 63-acre estate in Bedford New York known as Cantitoe Farms. (The estate is down the road from Martha Stewart's home by the same name.) Ms. Sokoloff purchased the piece from a Manhattan dealer in the early 1980s.
