This patinated cast white metal sculpture, circa 1900, depicts an Arab fighter on horseback after the original model by Emile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin (1841-1907) and Alfred Barye (1839-1882). It measures 25" tall, 19.5" wide and 9.5" deep, and weighs an estimated 20-25 lbs. It is signed " Ele. Guillemin " and " Barye. Fils ", and carries a mark which reads " FABRICATION FRANCAISE PARIS MADE IN FRANCE ", suggesting the piece dates from sometime after 1892...
This impressive Grand Tour bronze depicting the Greek mythological figures, Pygmalion and Galatea, measures 30.75" by 14" by 12". It is unsigned with no foundry mark, but numbered 55025 and 1 on the side of the base. It is believed to date from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. This extraodinary bronze sculpture, Gloria Victis, by Marius Jean Antonin Mercie (1845-1916), was cast by Barbedienne in the nineteenth century. Measuring 56" (142 cm), it is believed to be the second largest cast known to have been made by Barbedienne. First conceived while Mercie was studying in Rome at the French Academy, it originally modelled where Fame was supporting a victorius warrior in anticipation of a positive outcome to the Franco-Prussian war started in 1870...

This fabulous antique bronze sculpture of one Horse of Marly after the work of the French sculptor, Guillaume Coustou (1677-1746), measures an impressive 32" high, 24" wide and 10" deep, and weighs an estimated 60-90 lbs. It resides on its original ebonized wooden base, and we have found no foundry mark. Patina is original and undisturbed. We believe this work dates from the nineteenth century. It is one of the largest and oldest casts of the Marly horses that we have ever seen...
This antique bronze bust of a lovely woman is signed Fortiny. There are no foundry marks and we know nothing about the artist. Measures 10.75" tall, 11" wide and 5" deep. Additional images forwarded upon request.
