This chess set was created by Antonio Castillo Teran in 1984 for Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. Included is a photo copy of the purchase receipt from Los Castillo, signed by Teran, from the original owner in 1984. There are no hallmarks. The pieces are crafted from brass with one side silverplated, and the other apparently silverplated as well, but finished with gold wash. There are a handful of minor dents...
