This lovely bisque porcelain statue depicts a seated, nude female. It carries the mark which was used from 1934 to 1956. It has no losses or cracks, but could use a gentle cleaning. This faience ceramic chanticleer rooster figurine was designed by Carl Walter (1883-1955) for Stonelain Pottery, made by Associated American Artists of New York. It dates from circa 1940 and is in excellent condition. It measures 11" tall, 7.25" wide and 4.25" deep. The small loss at the edge of the base dates from the time of firing. This impressive Italian majolica planter or cache pot measures 28.5" wide by 17.75" high. Purchased in Italy approximately ten years ago. It features bright gold and royal blue glazed decoration and lion masks on two sides. No known markings or hallmarks of any kind. Overall condition is very good. It's somewhat dirty from outdoor use, but can no doubt be easily and quickly cleaned with a damp cloth. Estimated weight is 80-120 lbs...

This pair of wonderful Art Deco period figurines were designed by Hungarian-born artist, Geza Arpad de Vegh (1905-1989), for the Phoenix Pottery company in the 1930s. These French earthenware vases with dark and light blue craquelure glaze designs are believed to date from the 1920s to 1940s. Each is marked "Made in France" and each carries a "VF" monogram. This vintage tea and coffee service by Rosenthal dates from the early to mid twentieth century. Included is a coffee pot, tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl, five cups, eleven saucers and 12 plates. Coffee pot measures 9 x 11.5 x 6 inches. Tea pot measures 8.5 x 4.5 by 5.5 inches. Diameter of the plates is 7.5 inches and diameter of the saucers is 6.5 inches. Condition is excellent. This porcelain chocolate set was designed by the Austrian-born artist, Maria Schwamberger-Reisser (1896-?) for the Thomas company of Bavaria, circa 1920s. Included here is a pot, creamer and five sets of cups and saucers. (Only four sets are shown in our image.) Each piece carries the gilded mark of the designer, "MS", plus the Thomas and Bavaria marks. Pot measures 6" tall and the creamer measures 3.5" tall. Saucers measure 4.5" across and the cups measure 1.5" tall and 2.5" in diameter...
This Royal Dux porcelain figurine depicting an Arab gentleman on camelback and boy measures an impressive 23.75" tall, 19" wide and 10.25" deep (60.3 cm by 48.3 cm by 26.0 cm). It is in excellent condition. The only visible flaws include a vertical hairline visible on the exterior on the front of the base, and a few very thin and tiny flake chips from the out edge of the base on the front and right sides. This is the largest known version of this figurine...

This large Martaban mottled brown-glazed earthenware jar measures an impressive 34.5" tall and 31" across, and features writhing dragons across the shoulder and sides. Dyed and braided bamboo decorates the neck. Its condition is very good. There are no repairs or serious damages, but there are some chips from along the bottom edge. We believe this piece is relatively new, probably dating from the late twentieth century...

This rare, figural Japonesque faience vase was produced by Hautin, Boulenger & Company (HB & Cie) of Choisy le Roi, France, in the late nineteenth century. It measures 12" high, 7.5" wide and 5.5" deep (30.5 by 19.1 by 14 cm) and weighs an estimated 2-3 lbs. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, visible cracks or restorations.
