This exceptional lacquered and inlaid rosewood cabinet comes from the Kyoto region of Japan and dates from circa 1875. This pair of palace size cobalt blue porcelain vases, attributed to Sevres, feature gilt bronze mounts, including reticulated gallery around the top and handles on left and right. Each measures 32.5" H X 16.5" W (82.6cm H X 41.9cm W). Mounts were regilded sometime in the past five to ten years. Condition is very good, with no visible cracks or repairs. Included here are a pair of unique and impressive 30" tazzas crafted from rock crystal and featuring gilt bronze pedestals in the shape of neoclassical capitals.
