This delightful round coffee table is a prototype designed in 1993 by Masanori Umeda (Japanese, 1941- ). It features a laminate top in the shape of a soccer ball, with four metal legs with brushed finish and rubber feet in the form of soccer ( football ) boots. This KPM plaque depicts The Vision after the original painting by the important Austrian-born artist, Gabriel Cornelius Ritter von Max (1840-1915). Plaque measures 7.5 by 10 inches (19.0 by 25.4 cm) and frame measures 9.5 by 12 by 1.5 inches (24.1 by 30.5 by 3.8 cm). Plaque and frame weigh 2.5 lbs. (1.1 kg). This original Ribbon Chair (model F582), designed in 1965 by Pierre Paulin, dates from the 1960s and was recently restored. This antique cast bronze figurine of the hunter Diana by Jean-Alexandre-Joseph Falguiere (1831-1900) was cast by Thiebaut Freres of Paris and has been drilled for use as lamp.
