These Paris porcelain campana form urns or vases date from the early to mid nineteenth century. They feature painted landscapes, enamelled handles and Bacchic masks, and extensive gilded decorations. Condition of each is good. There are abrasions and chip losses to the interior of the rims, and visible wear to the gilding, and a very small chip loss to the bottom edge of one vase. Measures: 12.8" tall and 10" wide (32.4 cm and 25.4 cm). Additional images forwarded upon request.

Included here is a set of four matching gilt bronze sconces in the French Louis XV style, circa 1890s. Measures: 23 x 12 x 6 in (58 x 30 x 15 cm). Each has sockets and remnants of old wiring, but need to be rewired prior to use. We may add sockets and wiring for an additional fee. This inciso (incisio) glass vase, attributed to Paolo Venini (1895- 1959), may date from as early as circa 1935 or as late as around 1955. Condition is good. There are obvious flea bites to the underside and scratches here and there, but no noticeable losses to the rim nor signs of restoration. Measures 15.4" tall and 7" across (39.1 cm by 17.8 cm).

This pair of sconces crafted from white opaline glass have been attributed to Baccarat, and feature gilded decoration, two electrified candles with crystal drip pans, and lovely bell-shaped pendants in ruby red glass. Each is wired and ready for installation. There is a restoration to a break across the front of the top of one sconce. Measures: 16 x 16 x 6 inches; 40.6 x 40.6 x 15.2 cm.

Included here is a matching pair of antique hand-painted porcelain vases, likely of French origin, converted into lamps in the early twentieth century. They feature classical ( Roman or Greek ) chariot racers painted on one side. Above and below the scenes are repeating Greek key motifs spanning the circumference, and three-dimensional antelope heads are applied at the shoulder. Included here is a matching set of four antique bronze sconces, each featuring two candle arms, gadrooned wall plate and crystal pendants with etched floral decoration. Measurements are approximate. This antique bronze Albani vase measures 20" wide, 14" deep and 12.5" tall, and features casting of the highest quality. It has a warm brown patina and its condition and mounts suggest it dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. There are no foundry marks. Often confused with the Warwick vase, the Albani vase with Bacchus theme came from Villa Albani in Florence in the eighteenth century. This fine Venetian painted and partially gilded blackamoor table dates from the 19th century and was appraised by Sotheby's in 1998 for $5,500. Measures 20" high and 11.5" across. Original finish and good overall condition. There are some minor losses from the base where the kneeling figure is affixed to the base, and the base is slightly loose. There are abrasions, wear, nicks, scratches and minor losses, all of which are consistent with age.

This antique desk in the French Louis XVI style dates from the mid to late nineteenth century. It features a variegated marble top and extensive gilt bronze mounts along the frieze, legs and feet. This nineteenth century bronze figurine depicts the Greek mythological hero, Narcissus, after the original by the Italian sculptor, Vincenso Gemito (1852-1929) which was cast in the 1880s. It was cast by Barbedienne and measures 25" tall and 9.5" wide and deep. A Narcissus was a hero from the territory of Thespiae in Boeotia who was renowned for his beauty. This mid-century floor lamp by Lightolier features a brass frame, marble pedestal, and three arms with enamelled finishes in red, yellow and blue. Wired for used in the U.S., and in working order. This plywood elephant with red stain is number 62 of a limited edition of 1,000, produced in 2007 by Vitra. Included are the original papers and canvas drawstring bag. It is in near mint condition. There is a very shallow scratch near the base of the right front leg, and no other scratches, dents, stains, or abrasions. It was photographed with flash and over-exposed a bit. The actual color is a richer fire-engine red which can be seen in our macro closeup shot of the label on the underside...

This chair by Nanna Ditzel (Danish, 1923-2005) is sometimes referred to as the Pontoppidan chair, after Ludwig Pontoppidan, who produced the chair beginning in 1950 in Copenhagen. It features solid turned mahogany legs and stretcher, and woven wicker barrel-shaped seat. Condition is very good. There is a small tear near the bottom of the seat and various nicks and scratches to the legs, consistent with age. The design was first shown at the Annual Copenhagen Cabinetmakers exhibition in 1950....
