Included here is a matching set of four antique bronze sconces, each featuring two candle arms, gadrooned wall plate and crystal pendants with etched floral decoration. Measurements are approximate. Each has been newly wired with new sockets which accept candelabra size bulbs. There are no hallmarks and the maker is unknown. Their style is distinctly English Georgian, but will compliment any neoclassical decor such as French Louis XVI or Empire, or American Federal.

This antique bronze Albani vase measures 20" wide, 14" deep and 12.5" tall, and features casting of the highest quality. It has a warm brown patina and its condition and mounts suggest it dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. There are no foundry marks. Often confused with the Warwick vase, the Albani vase with Bacchus theme came from Villa Albani in Florence in the eighteenth century. This nineteenth century bronze figurine depicts the Greek mythological hero, Narcissus, after the original by the Italian sculptor, Vincenso Gemito (1852-1929) which was cast in the 1880s. It was cast by Barbedienne and measures 25" tall and 9.5" wide and deep. A Narcissus was a hero from the territory of Thespiae in Boeotia who was renowned for his beauty. This plywood elephant with red stain is number 62 of a limited edition of 1,000, produced in 2007 by Vitra. Included are the original papers and canvas drawstring bag. It is in near mint condition. There is a very shallow scratch near the base of the right front leg, and no other scratches, dents, stains, or abrasions. It was photographed with flash and over-exposed a bit. This chair by Nanna Ditzel (Danish, 1923-2005) is sometimes referred to as the Pontoppidan chair, after Ludwig Pontoppidan, who produced the chair beginning in 1950 in Copenhagen. It features solid turned mahogany legs and stretcher, and woven wicker barrel-shaped seat. Condition is very good. There is a small tear near the bottom of the seat and various nicks and scratches to the legs, consistent with age. The design was first shown at the Annual Copenhagen Cabinetmakers exhibition in 1950....

This amethyst molded glass vase by Marius Ernest Sabino (1878-1961) dates from circa 1925 and is known as "La Danse". It features neoclassical female dancers and other decorations in high relief, in the ancient Roman style. Underside signed with SABINO and FRANCE impressed marks on the inside. Excellent condition. There are scratches along the underside, consistent with age, and a tiny chip loss at the edge fo the rim. Measures: 8" H X 6.5" Dia (20.3 cm H X 16.5cm Dia).

Included here is a matching pair of tall, antique patinated and dore bronze candelabras, electrified in the early twentieth century with two bulb sockets. They feature four candle arms (which lack sockets and wiring) decorated with lotus leaves and neoclassical female masks. Sockets appear to have useable sockets and wiring, but each lamp lacks a cord and plug which we will be happy to add for a modest fee. One bobeche is missing and neither lamp has a finial.
