Included here is a set of eight (8) English Windsor hoop-back (sack back) arm chairs dating from the nineteenth century, made from yew and elm wood. Chairs measure 41.5"-42.5" high, 21"-21.75" wide, and 23"-24.5" deep. Seat widths vary from 14" to 16" and seat heights are all roughly 18". All have wonderfully rich, matching patinas consistent with chairs from the early to mid 19th century...

This mosaic stone plaque, purchased from the Vatican studio in the 1960s, is entitled "Nella Cantina" (In the Wine Cellar), after the oil painting by Francesco Vinea (Italian, 1945-1902). This tremendous cabinet by Druce & Company of London dates from the period of Napoleon III or the Third Republic. It measures 92 by 60 by 14 inches (233.7 by 152.4 by 35.6 cm). Inspired by the designs of Boulle under Louis XIV, this ebonized mahogany cabinet features extensive ormolu bronze mounts and brass marquetry. Lower cabinet doors open to reveal two shelves with old (possibly original) red velvet and the Druce and Co. nameplate...

This lovely vitrine by Francois Linke (1855-1946) dates from the early twentieth century. It is signed " F LINKE " on the top of the door and also signed on the bronze railing mount on the left upper side. It measures 52" wide, 45.5" tall and 14.5" deep (132.1 cm by 115.6 cm by 36.8 cm). Condition is very good. The mounts were recently removed and thoroughly cleaned. The finish is original and shows modest wear in spots, consistent with age...

This pair of patinated and dore bronze lamps by Edward Caldwell depict a satyr astride a hound and nymph astride a dolphin. Their original finials are intact and they may be enjoyed as works of fine art, or wired for use as lamps. We will be happy to add sockets and wiring for a modest fee.

This pretty chandelier is crafted from royal blue opaline glass with gilded decorations, eight spiral twist candle arms ending in drip pans made from amber and clear glass, and with amber and clear crystal rope. This large desk by Joe Ginsberg of New York, is crafted from solid mahogany with a chocolate brown finish, with a one inch thick, architectural, acid-etched glass top in shimmering blue-green with patches of rust color. It features x-shaped legs with gilded pinstripes which are reinforced with steel to support the heavy glass top, and are joined by a turned wooden stretcher. It has three hidden drawers each with interiors measuring 19.5" wide and 17.5" deep...

This is an exceptional portrait by the 19th century Florentine friar and master copyist, Fra Luigi di Buono, after a work by the master Sebastiano Luciani (1485-1547), commonly known as Sebastiano del Piombo, which resides in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Signed on the left side "Luigi de Buono Fr" and beneath "Firenze". Stretcher measures 21" by 26" and frame measures 30" by 36.5" by 1.5". This Georgian gilt metal ceiling lantern features wonderful neogothic ornamentation. Measures 34" by 16" by 16" with 17" of chain. It features six glazed panels and smoke bell, and four candle arms of later date with opaque white plastic candle covers (One was missing during photography but has since been found). This fabulous sideboard, attributed to the French designer, Jean Pascaud (1902-1996) features a black lacquered finish and tambour doors with parchment veneers. Finish is not original and is in very good condition. There is one noticeable scratch on the top, a few minor, shallow scratches, and some craquelure noticeable at the corners and sides of the top surface. Measures 53.3" wide, 35.7" high and 16.7" deep. It was purchased from Newel LLC, New York, NY, for $28,500.

This lacquered brass vase with coquille d' Oeuf decoration dates from circa 1925, and bears the signature of the artist, Jean Dunand (1877-1942). Dimensions: 6" H X 6" Diameter (15.2cm H X 15.2cm diameter).

This monumental soft paste porcelain vase measures 37.5" tall, dates from circa 1870 and has been attributed to Limoges France. It features four figures in renaissance style costume, including a musician, a pair of lovers, a female server and men celebrating with beer steins in hand. There are no hallmarks. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City and may be seen in person by appointment.
