This wonderful oil painting on wooden panel by Albert Munghard (1919-1998) depicts the intersection of 59th Street, Central Park West and Broadway in Manhattan in New York City. Likely painted in the 1950s or 1960s, Depicted is a busy afternoon sometime between 1892 (after the installation of the Columbus Monument by Sicilian sculptor Gaetano Russo) and 1905 when the traffic circle which survives today was constructed. This oil on canvas, after the memorable painting by Adolf Schreyer (1828-1899) known as the mounted Arab or Arab warrior, is dated 1897 and signed by the artist G. Guetgeman in the lower left corner. The stretcher measures 30" by 20" and the period giltwood frame measures 36" by 28.25" by 2.5". It has three very old restorations and has not been relined. This KPM plaque depicting Saint Cecilia measures 5.25" by 7.25" (13.3 cm by 18.4 cm). It is in very good condition. There are no cracks nor repairs. There are seven tiny scratches visible above Cecilia's head, and a scuff scratch in the lower right corner. Old frame measures 14" by 16" by 3.5".

This pair of tole metal sconces feature red roses and three candle arms with candelabra-sized bulbs. Each has new wiring and is ready for installation. They each measure 22.5" tall, 13.7" wide and 9.25" deep (57.2 by 34.9 by 23.5 cm).

Included here is a pair of antique rectangular Japonaiserie porcelain vases featuring reticulated necks, gilded serpent handles, and enamel painted floral and bird designs on a black glazed ground. We estimate these vases date from the late nineteenth century. Condition is very good. There are no visible cracks and a small chip from the edge of the foot of one vase, but no other damages. There is obvious wear to the gilding, consistent with age...

This fabulous bronze and porcelain inkwell dates from the 1880s to 1900s and features a female figure, delicate flowers and two wells with hand-painted decoration. Amazingly, there appear to be no repairs or restorations and no damages other than various chips from the tops of the porcelain wells which are covered anyway by decorative brass rings. It measures 12" by 7" by 7.25" and weighs 3 lbs. 12 oz. The underside carries the original paper label of Davis Collamore & Co. of New York City...

This antique clown whirligig has its original painted finish and measures 58" (4' 10") high, 10" wide and deep at the base, and has arms that are 21" long. Structurally sound. Arms move freely. This item resides with our client in Hoboken NJ and may be seen by appointment.

This wonderful mahogany tray table features its original silverplate tray and is believed to date from the late 19th or early 20th century. Table measures 28.5" wide, 23" deep and 24.25" high. Tray measures 32.25" long, 23.5" wide and 3.5" high. Scalloped shape table features acanthus raised foliage carved designs on each side, cabriole legs with raised leafy carved designs ending in raised scroll feet. This lovely antique gilt bronze cupid figurine features its original gilt wooden pedestal and was made into a lamp sometime in the early to mid twentieth century. This fabulous antique bronze sculpture depicts a group of three putti celebrating the grape harvest. It measures 11" high, 7" wide and 6" deep, and has a wonderfully dark brown patina with hints of red and lighter shades of brown. We have found no foundry mark nor signature. This piece likely dates from the mid to late nineteenth century. This item resides with our client in northern New Jersey and may be seen in person by appointment.

This antique gas light cast bronze chandelier was recently cleaned and wired for use. Accepts 40 watt bulbs. Measures approximately 30" wide and 24" high. Originally held approximately 12 dozen hanging crystals and the original wire loops remain in place.
