This pair of gilt bronze sconces in the neoclassical style feature anthemions (palmettes) at the top and bottom, and a single candle arm decorated with an eagle's head. Each measures 14.2" tall, 2.8" wide and 7" deep. They have been regilded and have a brilliant finish. We may add sockets and wiring for an additional fee. These sconces will compliment an Egyptian Revival decor, or any neoclassical decor including French Empire, Louis XV/XVI and English Regency.

This lovely copy of Le leçon de tricot (known also as Special Moment, and sometimes referred to as the Knitting Lesson) after Emile Munier (1840-1895) dates from the late 19th to early 20th century, and is an exceptional copy of the painting Munier exhibited at the Paris Salon of 1874.
