This pair of sconces feature polished and lacquered brass frames and green tinted glass, similar to the 1930s and 1940s designs of Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte of Italy. They are unmarked and the manufacturer and designer are unknown. Dimensions: 28" H X 14.5" W X 6.5" D (71.1 X 36.8 X 16.5 cm).
This oil on canvas by the Scottish painter, Alfred F. de Breanski Jr. (1877-1955), is entitled The Citadel of Cairo. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Canvas measures 18 by 24 inches. Condition is very good. The canvas was relined with wax and linen, and varnished around 1970. There are signs of inpainting in a few areas, including several points in the sky. This rare vintage shoe trunk by Goyard from the early to mid twentieth century is in very good condition. All hardware is original and it has been partially restored, including the replacement of the leather strap handle. We do not have the original key. Painted flag on the front has not been deciphered. Its red and yellow horizontal stripes are the colors of the Spanish national flag, but we cannot confirm the item is of Spanish origin. It was possibly the trunk of a three-star army general...

This large steamer trunk by Maison Goyard dates from the early twentieth century, and features a hanging wardrobe on its left side, and six canvas-lined drawers on the right. Metal lock in center is not original, but from the period of the trunk. It is split down the center and we do not have the key. Interior is in good condition. This KPM plaque from the late 19th to early 20th century depicts an Alsatian wedding scene, after the original oil painting by Louis Benjamin Vautier (Swiss, 1829-1898) known as Dancing Break at an Alsatian Wedding. This antique enamel on copper plaque is mounted on a slab of onyx stone, and depicts Jesus and the disciples at the last supper. Rear is fitted with easel stand and hooks for wall mounting. Onyx stone measures 9 x 6.5 x 3 in, and the plaque measures 6.2 x 3.7 in. The plaque is unsigned.

This antique metal lantern in the French Louis XV style features eight glazed sides and four internal sockets with new wiring and is ready for installation. Measures 36 by 17 by 17 inches. May be crafted from bronze.
This Coquilles opalescent bowl with scallop shell motif is mounted with silver around the rim. Measures 8.2" across and 3.3" tall. Believed to date from the 1920s or 1930s. Condition is very good, with scratches, consistent with age, but not visible cracks or restorations. Silver alloy is unknown and unfortunately we do not have closeups of the silver assay marks. Though not apparent in our images, this bowl is crafted from opalescent glass.

This unique round, wooden occasional table features pierced decorations on the skirt, and a metal center panel decorated with cloisonne enamel and depicting rose flowers, butterfly and floral vines. Measures 25.2" across and 29.6" tall. Remnants of an old Japanese label on the underside is not decipherable. This table dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century.

This pair of patinated and dore bronze lamps by Edward Caldwell depict a satyr astride a hound and nymph astride a dolphin. Their original finials are intact and they may be enjoyed as works of fine art, or wired for use as lamps. We will be happy to add sockets and wiring for a modest fee.
This lamp by the Aronson Art Metal Works, dated 1923, depicts a lovely female within Egyptian sarcophagus. Measures 11" (to top of socket) by 3.5 by 4.5". Has a modern brass socket and partial wiring, in need of cord and plug. There is obvious wear to the cold-painted decorations.

This pair of antique porcelain joss stick holders or candlesticks in the form of ceremonial elephants have come fresh from estate sale. We have found no visible cracks or signs of restoration. Each carries the same impressed mark which appears to be a capital "S" with "+" sign and "W" or other character. Possibly by Samson. Neither were cleaned prior to photography, and each would benefit from a gentle cleaning. Each measures approximately 9.7" high, 9" long and 4" deep.
