Included here is a matching pair of 19th century aesthetic style armchairs, likely of British (English) origin. They feature their original finish and mother-of-pearl inlay designs of flowers and dragons in the crestrail. Red velvet upholstery is in very good condition and not original. Each measures 34.5" high, 32.5" wide and 22.5" deep. Seat measures 20.5" wide and 18" deep. This item resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan ( New York city ) and may be seen by appointment.

This polished aluminum and glass cocktail table has been attributed to Paul Mayen (1918-2000) for Habitat, circa 1965. Glass top measures 36" square and the table height is 16.5". Aluminum frame measures 30" square. There is a flake chip roughly 2" long from the underside near one corner of the glass. This unique, mahogany art deco table comes from Austria or Hungary, and dates from circa 1925. Measures 26" high by 24 3/4" in diameter. Features four bobbin turned supports, resting on a square pedestal. Rich, reddish brown finish. Overall condition is very good. Largest flaw is a 1/4" nick from the top edge. This fine Venetian painted and partially gilded blackamoor table dates from the 19th century and was appraised for insurance purposes by Sotheby's in 1998 for $5,500. Measures 20" high and 11.5" across. Original finish and good overall condition. There are some minor losses from the base where the kneeling figure is affixed to the base, and the base is slightly loose. There are abrasions, wear, nicks, scratches and minor losses, all of which are consistent with age.
