| Included in this suite of objects, circa 1990, by the studio glass artist, Tony Carretta (American, 1953- ), are a wide vase with glass medallion, tall vase, and a charger with clear glass center. Vases measures 14 in (35.6 cm), 11.2 in (28.6 cm) and the platter measures 14.8 in (37.5 cm) across. Each is crafted from clear and colored discs and beads of glass within a metal framework, in the Middle Eastern style for which he is known. A beaker by Carretta in a similar style is in the permanent collection of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC. Additional images forwarded upon request. | ||
