This unusual metal sculpture is believed to date from the mid-twentieth century. Its form and patina are reminiscent of the sculpture of Lynn Chadwick and Paul Evans. Purchased at auction at Rago, and unfortunately we have no additional details on provenance. It is unsigned and the alloy is unknown. The base is crafted from a ferrous metal while the sculpture itself is non-ferrous. Condition is good. The break on one of the upright sections is original and a feature intended by the artist. The rear of the bulbous section has a section that appears to have been scraped, possibly intentionally.
