| This bronze by Edouard Drouot (1859-1945) depicts a seated Greek or Roman scholar or philosopher in classical robes, and is raised on a veined black marble plinth, with gilt bronze plaques cast in shallow relief which depict shepherds and flocks in pastoral landscapes. The bronze is inscribed E. Drouot and the interior is stamped 9707. Measures 26.2 by 10 by 12 in (66.5 by 25.4 by 30.5 cm). | ||||||||||||||
