| This lovely Austrian cold-painted bronze lamp from Franz Bergman features the figure of an Arab Bedouin on horseback, wired/working socket and switch and modern wiring, and its original glass shade with pulled feather motif. Condition is good. There is mild surface grime, scratches and wear, consistent with age, and a small nick to the glass at the top, but no visible cracks nor signs of restoration. The familiar "B" monogram for Bergman can be seen on the rear of the base. We have not found a hallmark on the glass, and do not know the maker. This is the only Bergman lamp with large original glass shade of this kind we have seen appear for sale online or at major auction in over ten years. | |||||||||||||||
