This is a beautiful blue-grey wisteria lamp by Tiffany. Dimensions: 25.75 in tall, 18 in across (65.4 cm tall, 45.7 cm across). It features textured glass from the Kokomo Opalescent Glass Works, sharply defined blossom clusters, and bronze tree base with green patination and four standard size sockets. Lamp also has cloth-sheathed wiring dating from prior to 1930. The lamp is working, but does need to be rewired to meet current safety codes. Original switch at the base has positions for off, on with low wattage, and on with high wattage. Lamp was photographed in off, on-low and on-high positions using 40-watt bulbs. Underside of the base carries the impressed mark TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK and impressed model number 342. Underside of the shade carries the TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK plate, and number plate which reads 1073-2. Base measures 14" to 14.5" across (35.6 to 36.8 cm). Our lamp is the companion to the lamp (numbered 1073) which is shown and discussed on page 215 of The Lamps of Tiffany, by Dr. Egon Neustadt (1899-1984), published in 1970 by the Fairfield Press. Condition is very good. Patina appears original. There are no obvious signs of restoration or repair, but we cannot rule out the possibility. There are a handful of small cracks to individual panes of glass. Collectors only please. Our client will not entertain offers from dealers.
