This fine oil on canvas is by the Hungarian painter, Antal Jancsek (1907-1985), and depicts his daughter Adrienn. Canvas measures 33" by 39" and frame measures 36" by 42". "adrienn kislanyom" is written on the rear of the canvas, which translates to "Adrienn my daughter". The other surrounding words have not been deciphered. This work is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Rear of the canvas carries the stamp of the Magyar Nemzeti Galeria, the Hungarian National Gallery, indicating the piece was authenticated and approved for export. |
