This French Art Deco liquor or display cabinet from the workshop of Haentges Freres dates from circa 1925. Recently imported from Paris. Color of the finish is a warm, medium brown. Measures 55" high by 31 3/8" wide by 15 3/4" deep. Rear carries the stenciled mark for Haentges Brothers of #6 Rue Titon in Paris: " Haentgés Frérs Fabricants 6 Rue Titon Paris ". Haentges Brothers have been said to have worked with Maurice Dufrene (1876-1955) and ran a prominent workshop in Paris. This piece features an open area on top with two glass display shelves. Below are two doors featuring a wonderful herringbone geometric design. Inside of the cabinet is finished in an elegant blond sycamore. Legs feature brass tips. Original hardware. Condition is excellent. There is a light mar to the finish on the front left corner about half-way from the top, probably due to a paper label of some kind.
