| This unique cabinet in the French Louis XV manner dates from the late eighteenth to early nineteenth century, and features two sets of doors with quartered-rosewood veneer and a glazed upper cabinet, and extensive ormolu bronze garland mounts with Greek masks at the corners. Its finish is a brilliant red-brown. It measures an impressive 77" (6' 5") tall and 34.5" wide. The glazed doors enclose two shelves with pale red satin upholstery (which is relatively new), while the lower cabinets enclose three shelves and a shelve divided into cubby holes. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen by appointment. | ||||||||||||||
