| This beautiful petite commode with marble top dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. Drawer dovetails are machine-cut. Craftsmanship is of the highest quality. It has a single drawer with working lock and key, and two lower drawers with circular pulls. Dore bronze mounts with foliate garland and acanthus designs decorate the corners and feet. Marquetry inlay depicting desk-top articles (such as feather pen, inkwell and envelope, and drinking vessels) decorate the top drawer, and parquetry inlay decorates the lower drawers and sides. It measures 32.75" wide, 18" deep and 33" tall. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen by appointment. Thanks for visiting.
