| This patinated cast white metal sculpture, circa 1900, depicts an Arab fighter on horseback after the original model by Emile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin (1841-1907) and Alfred Barye (1839-1882). It measures 25" tall, 19.5" wide and 9.5" deep, and weighs an estimated 20-25 lbs. It is signed " Ele. Guillemin " and " Barye. Fils ", and carries a mark which reads " FABRICATION FRANCAISE PARIS MADE IN FRANCE ", suggesting the piece dates from sometime after 1892.
