| This large, antique Grand Tour bust in rouge and white marble depicts the Roman caesar Marcus Aurelius (121-180 AD). It measures 31.5" tall, 23" wide and 12" deep. This sculpture likely depicts a Greek or Roman emperor or god, such as Zeus. The bust and socle are separate pieces. It is not signed and is believed to date from the nineteenth century. This item resides with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment. | |||||||||
