| This fabulous pair of carved wooden stools in the shape of standing cats feature multi-colored geometric wooden inlaid designs and their original upholstery which depicts a god with spread wings. We have no details on provenance, and believe they date from the early twentieth century. There are no inlay losses or signs of repair, and only minimal scuffs to the legs in a couple spots. Condition of the upholstery is also excellent, but they each have a handful of small stains. These were recently purchased at local auction and have not been touched, so the upholstery is a little dusty. Each measures 25" tall, 29.5" wide and 15" deep (63.5 cm by 74.9 cm by 38.1 cm). Seat height is 18". Padding is still firm and even. These stools would be ideal accessories in any French Empire decor. | |||||||||||
