| This extraordinary middle eastern wooden screen is believed to date from the early twentieth century, and features some of the most extensive and exceptional mother-of-pearl, ebony and bone inlay we have ever seen. Motifs are generally Islamic and geometric. In addition to the inlaid decoration, the curved tops feature a row of turned spindles, and the center panels feature intricate latticework crafted from assembled spindles. It stands 80" tall and each panel measures 24" wide. The screen measures approximately 62" across in our image. Condition is truly exceptional for a work with such extensive inlaid veneer.
