This is an original child's chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames, and produced by their company, Evans Products, circa 1945. It is crafted from red-stained birch and is in very good condition. There is obvious wear to the stain, but no visible repairs or damages, aside from cracks at the front corners of the seat. Mounting hardware is original and not worn, and the seat back is firmly affixed to the seat. Height: 14 in. (35.56 cm) Depth: 11 in. (27.94 cm) Width: 13.7 in. (34.80 cm). This model with the same original red analine dye stain was offered by Los Angeles Modern Auctions on June 26, 2011 in lot 41 with an estimate of $7,000-$9,000, and sold for an impressive $13,750. These chairs are extremely rare and will only appreciate in value in years ahead.
