ILLINOIS 17j INTER-STATE CHRONOMETER SALESMAN'S DISPLAY16 SIZE Circa: 1911. Scarce Illinois model. This model was sold as a Railroad Grade but not approved. The INTER-STATE CHRONOMETER Series was sold as a very accurate series model and cost a little more. This hunting model was designed for the gentleman who demanded more accuracy in a dress model. This scarce model is shown in with glass crystals on both side for easy viewing. Clean, running and especially collectible. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: White porcelain double sunken dial signed in fien script. Fancy original gilt hands. The hairlines are their, but does not distract. Scarce original dial. MOVEMENT: 16 size, hunting model, lever set, 17 Jewels, “INTER-STATE Chronometer”, “adjusted”, #2,327,893. Very clean, running, and free of imperfections. CASE: Unsigned thin, well fitting snap back and bezel nickel glass back or “Salesman’s Display’ case. Both side have glass beveled crystals. Very nice.
