HAMPDEN 23j New Railway Rare Hampden Factory Hinged Display Case Circa: 1902. Really nice. The case is mot impressive. Very low production Hampden Factory hinged back from front and back; marked: “DUEBER HAMPDEN” on both bezels. Of course it’s a beautiful movement and scarce double sunken original dial, but I know how scarce these cases are. This Hampden High grade is clean, running and I think, especially collectible. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Single hairline just under the sub. Seconds circle. Seen only through a super loop. Does not distract. Note: the slightly ivory colored center section on this original dial. I noticed through the years, that this was typical of the Hamden dial manufactures. I think it adds character. MOVEMENT: 18 size, open face, full plate nickel, lever set, “23 Jewel New Railway”, “ADJUSTED”, 1,721,009. CASE: Described above. Mint original condition.
