SOUTH BEND 21 Jewels No. 227 Original PANAMA Open Face Case Circa: 1917. 1902 – 1929. Short lived company and always scarce. 5 percent the amount of production of either Waltham or Elgin Watch Companys! This model is both Railroad Grade and approved for Railroad Service. Featured is the original South Bend Railroad Grade dial and original case. This watch is especially scarce and collectible. Clean, running and still accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.

DIAL: Double sunken with extra bold Arabic figures with some light hairlines, which does not distract. Signed; “SOUTH BEND” in bold font.

MOVEMENT: Sixteen size, open face, lever set, Three finger nickel bridge model, “Adjusted Temperature & 5 Positions”, 14k Gold Center wheel, “21 Jewels”, No. “227”, 870,173.

CASE: Original excellent screw back and bezel “PANAMA” yellow gold filled fancy case. Shuts tight. No initials.
