Offered for sale is this tall, narrow and deep wood cabinet (bindarai) that was used by a barber to carry his tools of the trade to his client's locale. There is a large opening in the top to insert the fingers and thereby easily carry the cabinet. The cabinet has 5 drawers, an open divided space on top as well as a hinged lid that opens to a deep storage well. The cabinet is in overall good condition - each front drawer has a lighter space where tape was adhered to probably list contents. There is also loss of wood on an edge, black marks and loss of finish - please see photo. Dates early 20th century.

Offered for sale is this pair of cast iron sake kettles, chosi, with their wood storage box. The lids are lacquered wood and one lid is slightly larger and does not sit flush inside the recessed space. Both lids have lacquer chipping.
