A Meiji era fireman's hood with sashiko stitching. It is made of heavy indigo cotton and is heavily padded in the hood. It's condition is good with the expected wear from usage. Please note the discoloration, loss of some warp thread and tearing at the front of the hood.

An indigo sakiori jacket, hanten made from strips of recycled cotton cloth sourced from old kimonos and other used textiles. Backside of the left sleeve, of indigo dyed cotton cloth, has a torn area and the collar has some fraying along the fold line. On the woven backside is a 3/4" x 3/4" area where the warf threads have broken - please see last photo for front and back view. There are stains on backside of jacket, which are barely seen from the outside.
