He sits on a wood base which is probably not original but works very well for a stand. The stand has some loss and loosening of wood. The Arhat comes with its wood storage box. A well worn and tattered work coat/jacket that has been patched and reworked to extend its life. The work jacket was hand sewn from many recycled cotton pieces of indigo kasuri, brown & grey plaids, stripes and non patterned remnants. There are many areas of sashiko stitching. Part of the lower front panel is missing.
