The handle and cross bars are lacquered as well as the box's interiors. There is minor wood loss on the handle and other areas of the carrying box.

Offered for sale is this vintage "half under kimono" or Han Juban made of cotton flannel (body) and sleeves of silk with a light weight wool lining. There is a 1/16 inch hole in the silk sleeve and the faded saffron colored wool lining has numerous holes and mends (boro) in both sleeve linings. The collar is fraying.
