A nicely detailed wood sculpture of cow. An affixed note to the bottom of the sculpture states that the cow was a memento of the owner's pilgrimage to the Temple Zen Kosji in Nagano. There is an incised kanji in the wood - perhaps more information is under the paper. The condition is good. Please note natural indentation by front upper leg.

The jizai kagi suspends from a beam and hangs over the hearth to hold a tetsubin or kettle. It is made of bamboo and mixed metals, bronze, copper, brass with an iron hook to suspend it. The cross beam is a fan attached to a kanji symbol, Happiness (kotobuki) which connects back to the pole. The unit stretches from 70" - 73". It is in overall good condition. Please note there is minor splitting in the bamboo.

Offered for sale is this unique and more difficult to find sewing box with its telescope arm. Half of the lid flips back and within the box is the smaller pincushion box attached to the telescopic arm which extends 8 3/4". The 4 drawer fronts are beveled and each has a metal pull. There is a slot for the ruler, but it is missing. It has mortise & tenon joint construction and wood pegs. This keyaki wood sewing box, haribako, is in overall good condition.

The body and lid of this incense burner has open work in the hexagonal shape of a honeycomb. This white porcelain koro has a shishi finial and dragon heads for handles. It was made in the San Gyoku-Sen kiln and comes with its original wood box. The box is dated 1976. It is in good condition.
