Offered for sale is this pair of ceramic te-aburi hibachi, portable hand warmers. They come with their original wood box, and part of the kanji on the lid reads "te-aburi". They date from the mid or later 20th century. They appear never to have been used and were packed in their box with a newspaer dated 1969. Condition is very good.

This haribako, or wood sewing chest has 5 pull out drawers and a flip top lid which reveals a removable box. Behind the removable box is a rectangular box that is accessed by pushing through the opening slot on the box's side. It has a slot for a ruler, but the ruler is missing. There are scuff marks, and some loss of finish. The drawers fit very tightly. Dates from mid century or earlier.

This ichimatsu doll truly has a charmng face, made of gofun and inset eyes. She needs some tender care - her clothing is moth eaten, her hair needs some styling and her right foot needs repairs. Old indigo fabric, stuffed, attaches the lower leg to the thigh. Dates first half of the 20th century.
