Bronze (2-pc) Usubata Vase for Ikebana

This is a gorgeous 2-piece bronze Usubata vase with a tray-like piece fitting into an urn. The urn features striking animal handles and has applied gold and silver tsuru, or cranes, and what appears to be a rising sun. It stands on three curved feet. This piece dates from the late Meiji or early Taisho period (1890-1920)
