This scholar's box or suzuri bako is built around the inkstone. There's a small compartment for the (included) accessories but the inkstone fills the main space. The stone has a heart-shaped well in addition to the traditional sloped area and weighs about 13 lbs. A bronze suiteke is included along with the ink and brush that are pictured.
