Cast Iron Hibachi in Tomobako

Great cast iron hibachi sits on three feet. It has ring handles with shishi lion anchors, and an embossed dragon motif. The dragon surrounds a sailing ship. The sides are pierced near the rim with what may be a mon or crest. Some superficial scaling, but the iron is still thick throughout. Includes a pair of tongs with tiny quails on the ends for handling coals and arrives in it's tomobako, or signed box. Meiji period.
