Fireman's Coat (Hikeshi Hanten) in Heavy Woven Fabric

This heavy woven, indigo-dyed fireman's coat has an official-looking exterior and a whimsical interior. The outside has a broad red stripe edged in white running down the shoulders. Kanji on the lapels identifies the fire station as does the large circled logo on the back.
The inside has a cartoon-like picture of a firefighter carrying a ladder into a maelstrom of sparks and flames. The patterns are made by resist-dying the fibers before weaving, a process called ikat.
Dimensions:
Length: 31"
