Two signs are available separately. They both have large red characters ("a great man") and bold kanji on the left (Dai jin). On the right side (as photographed) they have different names. The lacquer frames are nicked scratched and dented, but do not detract from the impact of the wonderfully carved letters. Each sign has a green strip around the edge, and there's some separation as seen in 217.1. The plump smooth carving of the red characters is pillow-like and immensely appealing.
