Hydrangea blossoms and leaves on a deep teal field make a striking statement on this larger cloisonne vase. It's by Yukio Tamura, signed both on the vase and the tomobako. The artist's creative and technical abilities are both showcased in this piece with the fine gradients on the blossoms. It's in wonderful condition with no cracks or crazing, just some expected wear on the bottom of the foot-ring. Dates from mid-century.
