Tall, straight shape, with grayish rim and thick celadon glaze on brown clay with enclosures. Imprinted at the bottom near the foot with the artist’s seal: HIROSHI. Purchased in Japan around 1985. Perfect condition. Height 2” (5 cm), diameter 2 ½” (6.2 cm). In fitted wooden box (tomobako), 3 ¼ x 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 inches (8.5 x 8 x 8 cm). Inscribed on the lid ‘wine cup’ (gui-nomi), and signed inside the lid: HIROSHI tsukuru (made by HIROSHI) above a square red seal HIROSHI. This piece is located in Europe (EC). |
